Editing & Proofreading

Proofreading is a very important part of quality control and is recommended for critical translations that are going into the public domain. When creating your original text it may have taken many hours and a number of people to get it perfect. When your perfected piece of text is translated it is just as important that the translated text is also thoroughly checked and reviewed before it is used.

If you have an existing translation, we offer a full independent proofreading/QC process. The proofreader will ensure the translated document uses the correct tone, style and terminology for your target audience and will double check spelling, grammar and terminology to eliminate any errors which may have been missed.

All our Standard translations are thoroughly reviewed and checked by the translator, however as an additional level of quality control we offer our Premium service which includes a Second Pair of Eyes check where another translator will review and check the translation.

We can also edit any existing translations which may need updating such as user manuals, brochures ensuring your material is up to date.

Desktop Publishing & Typesetting

All translations are returned in a layout as close to the original document as possible whether in Word, Excel, PowerPoint or PDF and this is included in the translation price.

When typesetting translations it can be difficult for a designer who is used to working with the English language. A good design for an English brochure may not work for a different language and this is why it is important to entrust the typesetting of a project involving translation to an expert who is used to dealing with these issues.

Our multilingual typesetting service is carried out by our experienced and knowledgeable team of typesetters. We ensure the translation is typeset accurately and professionally and that any existing artwork you supply is included in the design. We can provide the translations in a variety of industry known design programs.

Subtitling

Whether an educational, informational or corporate video no matter where your audience is, you can get your message across.

We employ a multi-lingual team who understand not only linguistic connotations in the script but the need in adapting the lines to read naturally and technically correct within the limited space available. Your footage is transcribed, translated and then the final video is presented with subtitles in the required language/s and in your required format.

Transcription

Whether it’s a recorded phone call, court proceedings, police interview or a TV/Radio programme, we can transcribe the recording using the latest technologies along with timecodes if you require.

We can also translate the transcription into English or another language if you require. Using professionally qualified and experienced linguists who specialise in the subject matter of the recording ensures it is factually and linguistically correct.
